Diet:
Omnivore will eat most foods but does better with a little vegitable matter as part of its diet such as blanched spinach or malawi algae flake as a treat.
Breeding:
Not difficult to breed. The male usualy having a more colourfull face called a blue mask and the female being a little smaller once are pair are formed they will lay eggs on a flat rock then transfer fry to a previously dug pit.They will become agresive to other tank mates once courtship has begun.

The severum comes in two forms green and golden both being semi aggresive but in a large enough tank aggression should be kept to a minimum.
